Help Rebuild New Orleans With Just a Click of Your Mouse
St. Agatha's Parishioner Brooke Abbott & Actor/Activist Hill Harper have joined forces in an effort to help rebuild the city of New Orleans. Because of their personal ties to the city and their passion for education & community, they have decided to build a Sustainable Afterschool House through Harper's foundation. The Manifest Your Destiny House Program: Manifesting in NOLA is a place where students can explore, design and manifest their dreams into reality through tutoring, mentorship, job/internship placements, vocational/educational workshops & community building. The house will be available to students 7 days a week at no cost to parents, where they will receive meals, form healthy relationships, learn sustainable/community living and receive all the tools that will help them grow into future community leaders.
How can you help? The MYD House is currently in the running for a $250k grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project. Supporters can help the program receive the grant by visiting www.refresheverything.com/mydhouse, voting for The MYD House and then tweeting, texting, emailing, facebooking, and telling their friends to do the same.

St. Agatha, Virgin, Martyr (Memorial)
Prayer:
Oh St. Agatha, who withstood the unwelcome advances from unwanted suitors, and suffered pain and torture for her devotion to Our Lord, we celebrate your faith, dignity and martyrdom. Protect us against rape and other violations, guard us against breast cancer and other afflictions of women, and inspire us to overcome adversity.
Oh St. Agatha, virgin and martyr, mercifully grant that we who venerate your sacrifice,
may receive your intercession. Amen.
